A wide range of natural, naturally derived and synthetic flavor and fragrance ingredients are available from Charkit. Manufacturers of diverse products ranging from household detergents to fine perfumes use fragrance compounds containing Charkit’s fragrance ingredients and aroma chemicals. Manufacturers of foods, beverages and a full range of personal care products also rely on Charkit for a myriad of specialty products and commonly used ingredients.

Charkit acts as the exclusive NAFTA sales, marketing and distribution arm of Tessenderlo Fine Chemicals, the world’s largest producer of hexyl cinnamic aldehyde, benzyl acetate and other key aroma chemicals. The Tessenderlo Group’s strength in aroma chemicals arises from a unique raw material back integration. Strategic products include benzyl alcohol and benzaldehyde, as well as a range of downstream derivatives including aldehydes, acetates, benzoate esters, and salicylates

Through its relationship with Oxford Chemicals Ltd., Charkit offers a wide range of high impact aroma chemicals for exceptional savory, sweet and citrus notes.

Citrus enhancers, acetyl theomenthone and natural and synthetic thiomenthone offer Charkit customers’ viable citrus options when natural grapefruit oil is not readily available

In addition to the products available through the relationships with Tessenderlo and Oxford, Charkit is also importing sizeable quantities of other aroma chemicals from the emerging markets of China and India. Keep in mind that Charkit has the capability to source any flavor and fragrance product that is of interest to the customer - whether it is in our existing catalog of products or not.

Among the flavor and fragrance specialty chemicals most often requested from Charkit are: 2-acetylpyrazine, allyl hexanoate, n-butyl 2-methylbutyrate, 2,5-dimethyl-3(2H-furanone, ethyl 2-methylbutyrate, ethyl butyrate, geranyl isovalerate, geranyl proprionate, trans-2-hexen-1-OL,isoamyl isovalerate, 2-isopropyl-4-methylthiazole, methyl butyrate natural, 4-methyl octanoic acid, methyl propyl trisulphide, methyl thiobutyrate,methyl-2-phenyl-2-hexanal, 4-methyl-5-thiazoleethanol, 2,3-pentanedione, 5,6,7,8-tetrahydroquinoxaline, tetramethylpyrazine natural and tropathiane.
